Puppy Linux 5.3.3 "Slacko" edition is an updated version of the lightweight distribution compatible with Slackware Linux 13.37. Puppy Linux 5.3.3 'Slacko' is an updated release of the recent 5.3.1. It has binary compatibility with Slackware Linux 13.37, which simply means that it is a Puppy built with packages from the Slackware, Salix and Slacky repositories. The main variant has been upgraded with Linux kernel 3.1.10 compiled with Aufs layered file system support, in the typical Puppy manner. There is also a PAE variant to cater for machines with large amounts of RAM. Both ISO images have SCSI boot support. The SeaMonkey 2.9.1 suite is the default browser and email suite but Firefox, Chromium, Opera, Netsurf, Iron, Dillo and Links are only a few clicks away. About Puppy Puppy Linux is yet another Linux distribution. What's different here is that Puppy is extraordinarily small, yet quite full-featured. Puppy boots into a ramdisk and, unlike live CD distributions that have to keep pulling stuff off the CD, it loads into RAM. This means that all applications start in the blink of an eye and respond to user input instantly. Puppy Linux has the ability to boot off a flash card or any USB memory device, CDROM, Zip disk or LS/120/240 Superdisk, floppy disks, internal hard drive. It can even use a multisession formatted CD-RW/DVD-RW to save everything back to the CD/DVD with no hard drive required at all. Code Name Slacko Distribution Name Puppy linux Version 5.3.3 Architecture i386 Number of Media 1 Size 115 MB Media Type CD Software Type Linux http://www.puppylinux.com/

Swift Linux 0.2.0 is a lightweight desktop distribution with IceWM - now based on Linux Mint's "Debian" edition. Version 0.2.0 of Swift Linux is now available. Swift Linux is now based on Linux Mint 'Debian' edition but retains the spirit of antiX Linux. The new Minty base improves hardware and codec support and continues to provide Swift Linux a software repository consisting of over 30,000 packages. However, Swift Linux is keeping the IceWM and ROX pinboard desktop environment to provide user-friendliness without bloat. Also, the Swift Linux ISO image is still small enough to fit onto a CD. Subsequent versions of Swift Linux will be provided frequently (usually no more than a few weeks between editions) but with only modest improvements with each iteration About Swift Swift Linux is a lightweight, Debian and Linux Mint-based distribution featuring the IceWM window manager. Compared to its parent, Swift Linux includes extra applications, such as BleachBit (a tool for freeing up space and clearing private information), the LibreOffice office suite, and a wide variety of forensic analysis and data recovery utilities. Distribution Name Swift Version 0.2.0 Architecture i386 Number of Media 1 Size 653 MB Media Type CD Software Type Linux http://www.swiftlinux.org/
